About Us / History

Welcome Wine Lovers

Harford Vineyard and Winery, located in the heart of the Piedmont wine trail region of Harford County, Maryland. HV was founded in 2003 when Vidal and Traminette grapes were planted, then 2005 Merlot. We supplement our own production by purchases of a small amount of high quality grapes from other growers. Since then we have continued to grow and expand the business to meet the needs of a wide range of customers from the home wine-maker to the wine enthusiast who simply enjoys a good glass of wine in a beautiful, rolling vineyard setting.

For aspiring and accomplished wine makers alike we offer a wide selection of wine-making supplies and services as well as equipment sales and rentals; everything you need to get started or amend the wine you are currently creating to best suit your taste! We sell locally harvested grapes as well as fresh grape and juice from around the world in the Spring and Fall. We offer a selection of French, Hungarian and American barrels as well as used bourbon barrels.

In May 2009 we officially became a Winery and specialize in limited production of finely crafted wines. Harford Vineyard currently has 10 wines to select from where you can find exactly the right wine to suit your palate. We appreciate the opportunity to share our hand crafted wines with others. With each visit you can relax and feel at home, taste all our wines from dry red to dry whites to semi sweets and sweet all for $5.00 per person with souvenir logo glass. Wine related gifts, custom wine gift baskets and local artisan creations are available for purchase in the tasting room.

For a genuine, down-to-earth winery experience away from the crowds, stop by our tasting room, on Fridays from 12-6 pm, Saturdays 10-5 pm, or Sundays 12-5 pm. All other times by appointment only. Groups welcome call ahead for groups of 8 or more is appreciated.
